Four Days of Willow Day One!

Welcome one and all to DAY ONE of Willow!
Are you excited??? I'm totally stoked!
Why? Because for one, Willow Cross is absolutely amazing
Two, we're having a MASSIVE FLIPPING GIVEAWAY!
Oh yeah! *happy dance*

Lets get started!

Birthright (Book I in The Dark Gifts series)

For one-thousand years, Druid prophecies foretold of a young witch destined to alter the fate of both human and immortal alike. This witch-turned-vampire would be capable of harnessing the supernatural abilities of both and, in a bloody rise to power, would rule with unwavering control.

Unwillingly thrust into a world she never dreamed existed, Liz Markum is catapulted into an ancient war between rival vampire factions. She must choose between those she loves and the ever-present darkness attempting to devour her very soul.

Only one question remains: Will Liz claim her birthright or surrender to the dark gift?

One choice.

One chance.

                                                           Two destinies.

Okay, so do you love Vampires? Romance? Epic battles?
Then this book is totally for you!
Forget about the 'sparkly' vampires and all the vampire hoopla that make them seem more cuddly than fearsome!
In Birthright, we go back to the roots of vampirism!
That's right, were talking about fierce little blood suckers, blood feuds, and things that truly do go bump in the night!
*shivers*

Immediately, you get thrown into the story.  Feels almost like a whiplash. No smooth entry into it, just BAM! There you are!
Now, sometimes that doesn't work and only leads readers into mass confusion and chaos,
but Willow does it in a way that allows readers to get the whole story without causing your head to spin like a top.

Now, I've read all the reviews for it and theres some that I want to address. One person said there's too many characters involved in the story.... umm no, there's not.
The storyline in itself is long, complicated and involved.  (Hello, we're talking about the complete
HISTORY of vampires is revealed... that's a pretty BIG thing and since vampires are IMMORTAL, well, you get the picture. Lots of old vampy characters.)

Some said it doesn't have enough romance.....
I could see your point there if you're looking for your average paranormal romance....
But this ISN'T your average paranormal romance!
This is a bloody, complicated, aggressive, addicting piece of work!
If you're looking for a whole bunch of fluffy fru fru romances with not much else involved I can point you to a TON of those.

Now, there is a certain type of beautiful savagery to the story that some people may not get, and that may detract from the story for them. *shrugs* sucks to be you ;) lol

There's really not much more I can say about the story without giving out spoilers because, as I said, its long, complicated and involved.

What I can say tho in a totally non spoiler way is:
YOU'VE GOT TO READ THIS!
hehe.

Now, the time that most of you only come here for,
THE GIVEAWAY!!
And this ones flipping awesome!
3 Winners!

Thanks for coming to Day One of Willow!
Be sure to come back tomorrow for some more fun and another chance to WIN!

  1. Can I have a vamp that's a mix between the sparkly and the fierce ones? No shimmers for me but I'd like to feel secure that I will leave the room with all of my blood intact ;)

    1. You're welcome, I'm glad you're enjoying it! What I love about vamps that you describe is that there's still that sense of darkness to them, so even though things may be awesome being a vamp, there's still the greatest threat of all, and that's to themselves ^.^

    1. Ah, you're a 'save the humans' type of gal, eh? lol, no worries, the vamps in here definitely have a cause and are ruthlessly fighting for it ;)

  8. I love to read about the ones that are not sure they want to involve a human but are so hooked on one they can not let them go. Hot and romantic!

    1. I love those too ^.^ Something about the frailty of the human body vs. the courage of their spirit to be with a 'monster' who could easily destroy them creates such a semblance of an almost 'desperate' love that one can easily fall into and become addicted too ;)

  9. I like the vamps who have some humanity left and love someone else more than their own lives.

    1. Ah, the true love aspect. Those are always fun to read as long as they're not too focused on it during the story. There has to be action in order to put the person in danger to make them so ferociously protective ^.^ HOT! lol

  10. You realize when the AUTHOR singles out a review capturing what she was trying to say, that (a) this reader GOT it, and (b) this reader knows how to relay that information to the rest of us!
(For those that don't know what I'm talking about, Willow specifically pointed out this review to her FB followers.) Congrats!!
