Eek! IT'S HERE!!!
I've been looking forward to this spotlight for awhile now, and do you know why?
BECAUSE ITS RAINE FLIPPING THOMAS, THAT'S WHY!!!!
NYT Bestselling author,
Absolutely fabulously fun person with a sweet personality!
That's right, the one and only!
Oh, and did I mention there's a FREAKING AWESOME GIVEAWAY????
So, enough chit-chat, lets GET STARTED!
Every three years, Amber Hopkins explodes. Okay, not a
blown-to-smithereens explosion, but whatever it is always hurts like hell and
leaves her life a shambles. She’s already worked her way through five foster
placements, and she’s doing whatever she can to avoid getting blasted into a
sixth. As her eighteenth birthday approaches and she feels the strange and powerful energy building, disaster looms. When the inevitable explosion occurs, her life gets its biggest shakeup yet. She’ll not only learn how her fellow foster and best friend, Gabriel, really feels about her, but she’ll discover that she isn’t really without family.
To top it all off, she’ll finally find out why she’s having the power surges: she isn’t entirely human.
Amber must Become, transitioning to another plane of existence and
risking the loss of the most important relationship she’s ever had. Her choice
will impact the future of an entire race of beings, and will pit her against an
enemy that will prey upon her doubt to try and take her very life.
Okay, so when I started reading it, I was filled with an overwhelming sense of 'awwwwwww'.
I felt the 'aww' because Raine made the perfect freaking damaged character.
She's been broken, she's been torn asunder, emotionally shredded, put through more than I would wish apon my worst enemy, yet she's still strong, still here and totally kick ass.
All Hail Amber!!!
Now, on top of the sucky childhood, she has these little 'incidents'. And by 'incidents' I mean there's a force within her that every three years unleashes and has the capability of killing a sh*t ton of humans.... yeah, lets just throw that little bit of fun on top of everything else.... THANKS RAINE!!!
And oh my goody goodness.... the romance *fans self*. We're talking about the down home, 'I've loved you since the day I met you but was too afraid to let you know' type of romance. The one that has you rooting for them regardless of what happens, has tears forming in your eyes (yeah, I became teary eyed. See Papa? I DO have emotions thank you very much, they're just reserved for awesome books ;) ).
Not to mention that Gabriel is flipping HOT!
Woooo boy if he was alive I'd..... *pouts* do nothing because I love Jeremy..... o.O I do, seriously, but Gabriel's just so hooooooooot.
......
..........
I blame it on the over riding hormones from having kiss..... *nods head* yeah, that works ;)
Anywho, from start to finish Becoming had me up in arms and flying the flag for all of the characters.
I was tearing up when I thought that they would die, my breath caught when a HUGE wtf moment happened, and my chest tightened when they FINALLY.... well I can't tell you what they finally did, because I'm not a spoil sport ;)
Basically, this is a MUST read.
And now! A freaking awesome giveaway that has me hating everyone who gets to enter because I DON'T!!! ahhhhh!
On the up for grabs we have THE COMPLETE SIGNED SET OF THE DAUGHTERS OF SARAQAEL!!!
I'm talking about the ENTIRE SERIES! Signed! With swag!!!!

I prefer to think they look like Daemon from JLA's Lux series- much better than freaky white things with huge heads and eyes! Lol!
ReplyDeleteI suspect we are fairly boring to them most of the time...
