Welcome to Day ONE of the Week of Quinn!
Are you guys excited? Because I AM!
Not only is Quinn an absolutely brilliant writer, but she's an adorably sweet person as well!
I mean, seriously, she's sooo freaking sweet it gives me a tooth ache!
Jacque Pierce was just an ordinary 17 year old girl getting ready to start her
senior year in high school in Coldspring, Texas. When a mysterious foreign
exchange student from Romania moves in across the street, Jacque and her two
best friends, Sally and Jen, don't realize the last two weeks of their summer
was going to get a lot more interesting. From the moment Jacque sets eyes on
Fane she feels an instant connection, a pull like a moth to a flame. Little does
she know that the flame she is drawn to is actually a Canis Lupus, werewolf, and
she just happens to be his mate; the other half of his soul. The problem is Fane
is not the only wolf in Coldspring, Texas. Just as Fane and Jacque are getting
to know each other, another wolf steps out to try and claim Jacque as his mate.
Fane will now have to fight for the right to complete the mating bond, something
that is his right by birth but is being denied him by a crazed Alpha. Will the
love Fane has for Jacque be enough to give him the strength to defeat his enemy,
will Jacque accept that she is Fane's mate and complete the bond between them?
Now, you guys are probably thinking to yourself, 'great, another werewolf book, and the peasants rejoice', BUT what makes this different than any other series is not just the story line, but also the interaction between the characters.
The Prince of Wolves will have you laughing so hard to where you start snorting (lovely, I know) and end up so out of breath that you'll be sitting there clapping like a retarded seal (that does happen).
Not only is the interactions absolutely fabulous, but the characters themselves are so diverse and complex that you immediately fall in sync with them. They're as close to perfectly imperfect that an author can get.
Now, you may be thinking to yourself, 'yeah right, no book is ever that funny or awesome', well my lovelies, you'd be wrong. Totally, epically wrong.
Here's a couple of examples of how wrong you are ;)
"Had Fane done some Romanian voodoo on her? 'Cause she would so do some voodoo up on his ass if he had.'
'Phone sex, virtual mind sex, I would say sex on a stick but that really only applies to Dove ice cream bars.'
'I'm going to be conveniently occupied with something that would normally be unimportant but for some reason at that exact moment needs my undivided attention.'
'Lay a paw on my littler girl and you will be a three legged Lassie, got it?'
'Only live once. If I'm going to die, I would rather die lying in the arms of the woman I love, even if it is by said woman's mother.'
'Oh, hell no. You did not just growl at me. I will castrate you while you sleep and then hang them on your car antenna, so BACK THE HELL UP!'
'What came through it was the picture of pure, unadulterated rage, otherwise known as Jen.'
See? Total fun.
And, to make it even better, then ENTIRE BOOK is full of dynamics and spunk like that. Not saying that all it is is a fun time, because its not. You'll be thrown through a range of emotions as you journey with them through all the love, heartbreak and peril.
The Prince of Wolves has all the characteristics of a great story, with some added 'booya!' thrown in.
You'll fall in love with every character, and you'll find yourself seeing a part of you in your favorite character (Me and my friends have actually dubbed some of the characters as ourselves, thus we are even more a part of the story ;) ).
What makes this book even better tho, is that it is one of MANY in the Grey Wolves Series.
This has to be one of my favorite series of all times. A total classic that you will live and breath through again and again.
So, what are you waiting for? Begin the journey TODAY!
